2GR 4" Intake and Tune

ATS 2GR Tunes are now for sale!

 

We've been tuning stock 2GR ECUs for our engine swaps for over 2 years now. We recently unlocked 20whp over the typical swap, and felt it was time to make it available to the public.

 

This package includes a tuned Sienna 2 plug ECU and a 4" intake with coupler, clamps and filter. We developed this intake to be the perfect length for the 2GR, providing widespread gains.

 

Optional is an intake manifold upgrade that shows top end gains over #1, #2, and #3 alike. This comes refinished and ready to be installed. Manifold is available seperately here.

We've been revving these to 7500 for 2 years with no failures. Use real oil. We use 10w30 Valvoline VR1 in every 2GR. E153 gear ratios are spread wide. When you shift into second at 7200, you drop to 200whp. When you shift at 7500, you drop to 220whp. That makes a big difference.

 

Yes, we compared against a #3 intake manifold above. We have repeatedly found the #3 intake manifold to be the best of the common 3, once the ACIS fix is done. When we say best - within 1whp and looks way better than the others.

 

We tested velocity stacks and they made no difference at all. We also tested an oversized throttle body. They add no power and harm driveability.

 

The ECU does retain complete knock control functionality, so you can run it on low octane fuel. However, premium fuel is worth a lot in the midrange (where you'll be driving most of the time), so keep premium in it.

 

The intake is designed to fit an SW20 with the charcoal canister removed and our coolant fill neck. It will not fit with the stock SW20 coolant fill on the strut tower, nor with the charcoal canister installed. It will not fit an AW11.

Here is this package compared to the best 2GR with an RPM trace from 2022 MR2 Nationals on our dyno. The absolute best one that day made 270whp but we were unable to get a clean RPM trace.
